Ditcheat Hill is a special orchard, close to where Beccy & Sam, the makers of Wilding, live in Somerset. As before this is a blend of Yarlington Mill (40%), Browns (40%), Ashton Brown Jersey (15%) and Sweet Coppin (5%).

2022 was very dry and extremely hot, and the fruit was typically very high in sugar, tannin, and aromas, giving some very concentrated ciders. This is the most concentrated Ditcheat Hill made yet and is definitely a good candidate for cellaring. All of the usual aromas are in play here just with the volume turned up!

Bottle pour at The London Cider House, pours a clear bright orange with a medium white head. Aroma is full of barnyard funk, some tannins, red apple skins, and caramel. Flavour is medium sweet, with plenty of caramel, tannins, red apple, and moderate funk. For a sweet cider, the depth and funk are impressive. Excellent.

750ml bottle from Fine Cider Co. Hazy orange golden colour, white foam head that quickly dissipates to a thin rim and aroma of fruit, citrus, apple, leathery funk hint. Taste is sweet, apple, juicy, fruity, hints of strawberry & orange, with orchardy funk, leather and drying bittersweet earthy tannins. Medium bodied, low carbonation, tart & sweet fruits and tannic at the finish. Very drinkable.
