The Thankful Receiver is an exciting collaboration between Little Pomona and the team at Webbs. A cider inspired by the circle of gratitude created by the bees, the growers and ultimately those that get to enjoy this cider.
The team from Webbs joined us one sunny spring morning to create the blend. James and Laurence had chosen 10 tank and barrel samples as the starting point. After much deliberation we chose a blend using zesty Discovery apples and rich Egremont Russets from Cotswold Orchards, Worcestershire, along with barrel-aged Dabinett from Brook House Farm orchard.
Ripe & fruity, with tangerine zest alongside apple notes, there's a balanced refreshing acidity and a natural gentle sparkle.

750ml bottle from Little Pomona. Hazy yellowy gold colour, short-lived foamy white head and aroma of apple, wood barrel, oak, vanilla, funk. Taste is sweetish and tart, apple, fleshy, oak, vanilla, woody, with zesty citrusy acidity and some tannin. Medium bodied, light carbonation, tangy acidic finish. Nicely drinkable.
