Bottle from Brew Export. Rich enticing aromas of maple, dark chocolate, bourbon, coconut, black treacle, raisin, coffee. Taste is dark chocolate, Turkish coffee, burnt toast, warming bourbon, profiteroles, caramel. Beautifully balanced. Sweet, long throat warming finish. Superb.
Sweet, syrupy and roasty with some vanilla, maple syrup, toffee, barrel, coffee, caramel and earthiness. Okay

Panda, huge thanks to Cloin. Opaque dark brown beer, small bubbly tan head. Smooth and slightly viscous palate, decent fine minerally carbonation. Rich chocolate dark malts, tastes like quality 55% dark chocolate. A little milk chocolate where the vanilla intersects. Rich fruity bourbon, a little raisin and a thankfully modest amount of maple on the back end. The 14% abv just vanished. If you told me this was 10% I would have believed you. So rich with dark malt and BBA flavours and yet so light and drinkable, despite it's red wine abv.

Keg at Craft Metropolis, Penge, 25/10/24. Black topped with a khaki cap that soon thins. Nose is chocolate, dark malts, molasses, subtle spice, brown sugar melt, sticky caramel. Taste comprises chocolate pot, dates, chocolate dipped raisins, figs, vanilla essence, coffee bean, bourbon rip. Full bodied, oily feel, semi drying close with a balanced rising boost. Solid unctuous BA impy.

--Sample, thanks fonefan! -- Viscous black, minimal dark brown head. Caramelly nose with chocolate sauce and coffee. Very sweet with full body and viscous mouthfeel. Chocolate cake with caramel sauce and custard dipped in coffee and finally drenched in syrup. Pretty much the generic (very expensive) recipe for a pastry disaster. Why not add ketchup with gold flakes as well?

Bottle. Black colour, small brown head. Aroma is chocolaty, some mild toffee and a bit alcohol tones with some cacao and a bit burnt sugary. Flavour is liquorice, and some alcohol and some toffeeish tones. Chocolate and alcohol in the finish.

ABV: 15.0%. Clear dark dark brown colour with a small to small average, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, beige to light brown head. Aroma is heavy malty, roasted, caramel, chocolate, dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, maple, bourbon, vanilla. Flavor is heavy sweet and light bitter with a long duration, chocolate, cocoa, maple, salty caramel, bourbon, barrel, coffee. Body is full, texture is creamy - syrupy, carbonation is soft to flat, finish feel is warming and light to moderate alcoholic. [20240425]
