Bottled, from Gambrinus, Tartu. Dark brown, huge lively head. Aroma of tobacco and pine. Mid sweet with medium body and spritzy mouthfeel. Pine and caramel, some herbal notes. Mid bitter finish.

Bottle from Õllepood Nr. 1, Tartu. Pours dark brown, little beige foam on top. Nose has some dry roast, not so sweet dried dark fruits and good hop character. Taste feels nicely roasty, hopped up and some kind of herbal bitter thing is also imparting its character, probably that's "angervaks" or meadowsweet. Flavours blend together actually super nicely, decent hoppy and dry, roasty porter. Body is a bit watery but I guess that contributes to drinkability, flavours might feel better combined with sturdier body but maybe I would not be able to drink so quickly then. Dilemmas, dilemmas.... decent porter overall.

On tap at Pudel, Tallinn. Dark, dark mahogany coloured without much head to speak of. Roasty aroma with wooden and slightly earthy notes, coffee, dark fruits and hints of chocolate. Moderate to medium sweet with medium flavour intensity. Fairly thin, some acidic notes and a slightly dry finish. Quite okay. --- Beer merged from original tick of Wabadus on 09 Mar 2018 at 20:07 - Score: 6
