Bottled in Porto Alegre. Yay, you can taste german brazil finally. Pours a cloudy bright gold with a decent sized fizzy head, a bit on the light side but to be expected. As good a weiz as you’re going to find in Brazil.

Bottled. Hazy yellowish golden colour with a small creamy white head. Aroma is yeast, caramel, mild estery and toasted tones. Flavour has some banana, caramel, some wheat, yeast and mild earthy tones. Watery palate and quite homebrew like.

Hazy dull straw colour. Very thin head, otherwise this looks pretty German, something a lot of new world examples struggle with. The aroma is lightly spicy, lightly yeasty and with just a hint of banana and wheat. Has a medium body, not all that sweet. Not very complex, but there is some yeastiness and light banana. The lack of sweetness stands as a strong point in a world of sugary weizenbier. A touch of acidity late and you have a pretty well-balanced example.

30cl on tap at Guarulhos Airport, 9R$. Simple looking weizen, yellow moderately hazed. Creamy white head. More or less classic aroma, fruity and yeasty. Taste is mostly sweet, minimal hops presence. Short finish, light body, moderate carbonation. Simple, smooth, fresh, didn’t pretend anything and this was enough.

Pale amber pour, darker than you’d expect for the style. Nice head, but lacking in persistence.A huge wheaty/doughy aroma, with the sweetness of apples and apricots. Some banana in the background. Amazingly refreshing. Very slight skunk.Taste is of wheat and sourdough bread, hints of sweet alcohol (white wine comes to mind) yet still has a rather dry finish. Lacking in banana and clove notes, and the clinging weak bitterness was a bit of a turn-off.A tad weak-bodied, with little carbonation. Was awesomely refreshing after an intensely tiring day at uni (had to go to all of one lecture!).

Hazy yellow, small white head. Nose is yeasty, sugary-caramelly sweet, some banana notes. Dry and wheaty. Very light and watery pale hefeweizen.
