Bottled. Very deep coppery brown colour with a small brown head. Aroma is tar, some salted liquorice, mild cough medicine as well. Flavour is tar, smoked wet wood, some mild rye bready notes. Pleasant tar bomb.

First sip initially shocked me. But the tar is fitting in lovely with notes of berries and cocoa. Thanks Jussi!

Bottle (thanks marduk). Pours dark brown with beige head. Aroma is smoke, tar, malt, bacon. Flavor is sweet and bitter, tar, smoke, malt. Finish is tar. Overall: ok.

Clear cola looking beer with good and stable, beautiful cloudy head. Aroma has tar, smoke, dark malts. Taste has malts, smoke, roast, coffee and cream & tar. Very nice overall, soft but complex enough. Medium body, some roasted dry bitter at the end.

Flaske 330ml kjøpt av djoeye. Delt med Rune i WC-veien 8 Jan 18. Ultramørk amber. Høyt off-white skum. Litt lacing. Skikkelig tjærearoma. Myk munnfølelse. Smaken torv & tjære. Bra - men uvariert.

330ml bottle bought from djoeye and shared with Finn. Deep dark ruby body, fair lacing, bubbly fawn coloured head. Peaty nose, inviting. Peaty, tar flavours with moments of dark caramel malts. Pretty nice, a bit unvaried tough. (Tromsø 08.01.2018).

Smell of tar, roasted malt. Very dark brown colour, very high brown head. Aroma of tar, roasted malt, some licorice, menthol. Tar is quite dominant. Sweet and bitter. Flat carbon, slick texture. Decent tar beer.

Bottle 0.33l at home, Nivala. BBE 21/06/18. Color is dark brown with small slightly brownish head. Aromas and flavors: Tar, some distant hints of smoke, bread and malts. Too candy but overall quite good.

33cl bottle. BBE 30/06/2018. Poured pitch black in color with a thin but lasting off white head. Tar candy in aroma, really strong, "terva-leijona", smoke as well. Sweet tar candy in flavor, very dominant, hard to find anything else, smoke and sweetness. Light to medium bodied. I like the tar candy so this is a pleasure to drink, even if it is quite one dimensional.
