Last year we went to Italy and none of the Italian brewers we visited could pronounce Hop Notch. They alla said “Hoppi Notchi”. Hence we had to brew a Hoppi Notchi beer and that it had to be an Italian Pilsner was a no brainer. The humble pilsner can seem simple but beneath those golden ripples and frothy head is a beer that can be cunningly complex. Italian-style pilsners are sessionable, dry, balanced lager beers with an enhanced European-hop expression from dry hopping with German hops, just adding that little extra pop of that grassy, herbal aroma.

--Canned, from Systembolaget. -- Clear golden, mid sized head. Distinct grassy nose. Dry with slender body and crisp mouthfeel. Crisp bread, lots of spicy, grassy hops. Long bitter finish. Lovely summer beer.
