Bottle 37,5 cl. Pours a cloudy, opaque dark brown with a short, beige head. Nose of molasses and dark, dried fruit, plenty of figs and dates - and alcohol. Rich and fat body with all of the above. Sweet yes, but far from cloyingly so. There's plenty of bittering hops here. Some licorice in the finish too - and heat. This is the good stuff. 010225

27/4/2024. Bottle shared at fonefan Ulfborg tasting. Pours dark mahogany brown with a small beige head. Aroma is dark malts, toffee, dried fruits, apricot, liquorice. Medium sweetness, boozy bitterness. Quite full bodied, smooth, low carbonation. Warming finish. Good stuff.

Creamy off-white good mostly lasting head. Dark brown colour. moderate malty and light hoppy aroma.- Moderate bitter intense flavor. Long moderate bitter finish. Creamy palate.

Bottle @ Fonefan tasting. Clear very dark brown with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, roasted malt, chocolate and alcohol. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and moderate bitter finish with heavy alcohol. Boozy. 270424

Bottle @Ulfborg. Very dark red brown, seems clear. Small beige head. Caramel, dried fruity aroma. Sweet, sourish dried fruit flavour, licorice and boozy, rough alc.

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Nice head with good duration. Color is dark brown. Aroma and taste are caramel, nuts, alcohol, fruits, hops and malt. Nice warming finish.

--Sample, thanks fonefan! -- Dark brown mid sized firm head. Peppery nose with caramel and strawberries. Sweet with full to massive body and rounded mouthfeel. Treacle and black pepper. Strawberries and hay, dates. Resinous very bitter finish with intense alcohol.

Sample (thanks fonefan!). Black colour, small white head. Aroma is chocolaty, roasted, alcohol and somewhat ashy tones. Flavour is chocolaty, some ashy, alcoholic and mild coffee tones. Alcohol pushes through quite roughly in the finish. Yet there is a certain smoothness. A bit less ashy tones and this would be a total winner.

ABV: 13.0%. Clear dark red brown colour with a small, frothy - fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, caramel, dark malt, wood, malty, spicy, anis seed, bread touch. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light bitter with a long duration, dark malt, sweet malt, malty, bread, spicy, anis seed, wood - mushrooms - umami, malt bitter. Body is medium to full, texture is oily - creamy, carbonation is soft to flat, finish feel is warming and light alcoholic. [20240204]
