Slightly aged sample Minus a full point for the ****ing wax that cost me a glass. Dark cream rim over black beer. Liquorice, jap , treacle, not very sweet smelling, however. Bit of wood, sweet roast. Sweet, sugary flavour, with liquorice and roast. Bit plums, and slightly ashy. Syrupy liquorice character, maltsyrup, liqueur-drenched wood. Full bodied, viscous, alcoholheat, sticky to syrupy. Too sticky, too sweet by half, but that doesn't prevent it from carrying quite some punch. Txs to Stef!
