Nicely done traditional IPA. Nice gold color with a strong baked pineapple aroma. Nicely juicy bitter balance. Notes of baked pineapple, dried papaya and starfruit. Nice dryness to this.

Can from Total Wine. Pours a mostly clear orange gold with a full 2-3 fingers of off-white head that lingers. Big dank aromas of pine, grapefruit, pineapple and tropical fruit. More of the same on the palate. Full bodied version of Head Hunter. Lingering tropical fruit and dank on the finish. Killer 2xWCIPA.

Dark caramel with a large foamy head that lingered. Bitter and fairly sweet with tobacco, booziness and strong fruity hops. Long finish. Moderately full bodied.

Sample at the brewpub. The beer is a hazy amber-orange color with a medium off-white head that diminishes steadily. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrusy hops and bready malt, plus some pine. Rich and chewy body with a pungent hoppy character and notes of bready malt, ripe fruits and pine. The finish is hoppy with a lingering citrus and oak aftertaste. Very good overall.

Growler fill from Cleveland Fat Head’s. Pours a medium to light orange/gold with a sudsy white head. Aromas are a little less than I expected... lots of pine and resin, a little honey and maybe pear. Flavor is very sharply hoppy... lots of resin and pine that bite hard on the front end and then in the aftertaste. There is a nice enough malt presence in the middle... sweet orchard fruits (apple and pear, mainly) that balance things out. Alcohol sits heavy in the aftertaste. This is very good, but not quite as spectacular as I was hoping for. Once again, hurray for Fat Head’s!
