Klerre is the Dutch water-demon who usually reveals itself as a gigantic black dog. But Klerre is a shape-shifter and so it may present itself as a cat, a bat or even a frog. He likes to play tricks which could be quite harmless but a lonely traveller in the evening will not travel further after meeting with Klerre.

Our „Klerre“ is a similar shape-shifter – Belgian yeast, candy sugar and plenty of Jarrilo hops do not allow this beer to be forced into a particular style. But it exists nevertheless. You should meet „Klerre“ together with friends. Makes it a lot safer.

Bottle from Speciaalbierpakket. Aroma is dark malt, caramel, hoppy notes, ripe dark fruits, prunes, liquorice, spicy notes, and some candy sugar. Flavour is sweet and moderate to medium bitter with a bittersweet finish. Body is above medium. Curious but successful concoction, pretty tasty.

Bottled 330ml (UJH?)
Dark ruby-brown colour, small coca-cola head. Rye bread, chocolate and alcohol in the nose. Medium-bodied. Quite active carbonation for this kind of beer. Certainly Belgian, dark stronger dubbel or weaker quadrupel. Ryebread, Belgian yeast, hoppy bitterness in the finish, chocomalt, candy sugar, alcohol. Classic Belgian dark ales are not as hoppy as this is but solid brew.

33cl bottle from Rimi, Tallinn. Pours clear dark brown to dark mahogany coloured with a lasting, beige head. Somewhat fruity and lighty roasty with hoppy notes, mild caramel and Belgian yeast. Medium to moderate sweet with medium flavour intensity and a nice bitterness. Alcohol is surprisingly well integrated. Interesting and certainly enjoyable.

Dark brown pour, beige foam. Nose is soft, light fruity hoppy. Taste is soft and sweet as well, fruit hop bitterness coming out. Not roasty, so not really a stout. Belgian yeast is definitely there, you can feel it. This is more hoppy and dry, kind of IPA'sh. Really a beer that is not possible to put into a box. Tastes great though, a successful experiment.
