Bottled, huge thanks HP! Shared at Vojtafest. Pitch black, off-white head. Cocoa and light fresh citric touch in the aroma, smooth. Lean, dry taste, cocoa mainly, vague citrus, smooth, pleasant, well hidden alcohol, but lacking in complexity. Fine.

Bottle from HavnensVinOgTobak. Pours opaque black with large brown head. Aroma is intense roasted malt, ground coffee, dark chocolate, orange zest, vanilla, liquorice and hints of soy sauce. Taste is medium to very sweet, medium bitter, light to medium salty and faint acidic. Body is creamy with light carbonation. Finish is long and balanced sweet and bitter with notes of roasted malt, cocoa, dark chocolate, ground coffee, orange zest, liquorice and hints of grapefruit. Overall a nicely balanced, rich and well made imperial stout.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours pitch black with a dense, brown head. Rustic, roasty nose. Not much more than a medium body, roasty with dry English licorice. And a subdued bitterness. Very old school and a little to the harsh side. 110523
