Das Siebenstern-Bräu gibt zu jeder Jahreszeit einen eigenen Bock heraus. Für den Frühling ist der Maibock zuständig und das namensgebende Tier hat daher auch Blumen im Haar. Es ist ein stärkeres Bier mit deutlichen Fruchtnoten, was man auch erwartet, worunter aber natürlich die Spritzigkeit leidet. Es hat einen vollen Geschmack, den man halt mögen muss. Es ist recht würzig und ist wohl nur etwas für Bockbierliebhaber, da es etwas brutal rüberkommt. Besser als die Industrieböcke und im Wirtshausbock-Vergleich im MIttelfeld.

At the Brewpub. Hazy amber beer, good off white head. Palate is light and dry. Dry creamy malt with unsweet caramel. Touches of tea and dried fruits. Finishes dry, mild minerals.

On tap @ brewpub, Vienna, Austria. Sampled by Kis Salétrom and Szebeni Ászok on the prelude of the 3rd Wiener Bierfest. SZÁ: Túl száraz ez egy sörhöz képest, hiányzik belőle az élénkség. Különben is mi ez a kemikália ízhatás, tisztára mintha csak a fogorvosi rendelőben szürcsölgetnék valami rothadt gyümölcs levét. 1-es. Üljön le! KS: Ugyan már, nézzük a pozítiv dolgokat: lágy, gyümölcsös, édes. Asszem ennyi.

On tap at the Brewpub. Orange color with medium white head. Sweet malty, fruity aroma, maybe some flowers. Taste, starts sweet, continues with orange, alcohol is noticeable especially in finish. Drinkable.

swing top bottle (500ml). -Orange/golden coloured, medium sized off-white head, malty and mild alcoholic nose. Malty and fruity with notes of orange and tangerine. Alcohol is mild and pleasant, finish is moderate bitter. Nice and easy-drinkable bock.
