Biggish beige head. Nearly opaque black body shows traces of deep dark red. Smoky raisiny tobacco aroma with minty licorice notes. Sweetish smoky roasty taste with mealy chocolatey notes. Full-bodied. Mild, soft, smooth mouthfeel. Sweetish nutty smoky raisiny aftertaste with honey, dried fruits, and earth notes. Minty smoky mealy finish lingering. A very good beer. Complex, full of flavour, yet harmonic. Notes in here remind me of the hop notes in the very best Bavarian lagers. (0.75l bottle, from Føtex Frederikshavn.)

Bottle 75 cl. Pours an opaque black with a small, beige head. Distinct peaty aroma, some tar in there. Rich, malty body, sweet roast, chocolatey but the peated smoke dominates everything. Usually not a fan of peat, but it somehow works here. A very "manly" beer. 231215
