Rebrew Cat Sìth Imperial Scotch Ale takes us back to the intriguing world of Cat Sìth, a character from Celtic (Scottish and Irish) mythology, depicted as a large black cat. This mystical entity, feared in the Scottish Highlands as a being that could steal the soul of the deceased, has been inspiring the variations of this ale for four years now. Cat Shea, sometimes considered a witch capable of transforming into an animal, brings a sense of mystique and adventure. This ale is a tribute to this fascinating myth, as captivating and profound as the stories it represents. Rebrew Cat Sìth Imperial Scotch Ale surprises with a bright biscuit aroma, complemented by notes of caramel and iris. This combination of flavors gives the ale a rich, deep taste, perfectly balanced with a pleasantly warm alcohol finish. It's an ale that will 'steal' your soul without you having to give up anything. A real treat for those who appreciate complex and full-bodied beers.

330ml bottle. Darkest brown, almost black colour with late awakening, small, creamy, fading, beige to tan head. Roasty, chocolately, minimally grainy, dark malty aroma, hints of couverture, Belgian chocolate, whiffs of cold coffee, toasted dark bread, ashes, toffee, dark caramel, very weak, fruity overtones with a touch of red berries, dark berries, plum; relatively weak aroma overall. Taste is roasty, slightly grainy, minimally bready and chocolately, dark malty, caramel malty, notes of dark caramel, a touch of toasted dark bread, chocolate, treacle, fruity whiffs of plum, aspects of rye spiciness; vestiges of alcohol here and there, but well hidden alcohol overall. In a way more watery than viscous texture (somehow in-between), smooth and soft, slightly cloying palate, fine and soft carbonation. Complex but not intense, pretty cautious for a 10%+ brew - not really exciting on its own, but probably a good base beer that should profit from barrel aging.
