As Gumballhead left the scene of the crime, there was only one thing left to do ... Find the imposter masquerading as a Double IPA, and mute that damn saxophone.

So now we're going to have a whole slew of gumballs? You thinkin like voodoo ranger? Just asking. Big hazy almost milky pour with all kinds of chunks in thar. Looking at Rat's rating below, this can't be the same beer when comparing the looks. Nose is mild bready pine hops perfume. Very low carbonation on the palate, comes across rather creamy. Slowly building warming sensations. First taste is escalating bitter sensations. Not as rude as expected considering the alky content. Lets chew on some rotting fermenting green grapefruit rinds mixed with pine tar sap and a tad of turpentine. Like IPA? You better put this on yer bucket list. If you know me, the lower the numbers the better the IPA for yah. Its a little more cultured with decorum compared to most domestic impy double IPA.

Can from mix pack: pours slightly hazy with big white head. Citrusy and some wheaty malt. Less than 3 months but seems past its prime. Meh.

Orange, lemon, biscuit malt, pine, and grapefruit peel aroma. Hazy golden yellow with large white head. Very sweet orange, biscuit malt, and moderately bitter dry grapefruit peel flavor. Okay body.

Can from the Gumballhead Mixed 12-pack from Livonia Liquor. Pours a slightly unclear orange gold with a finger of off-white foam that dissipates. Orange zest and pith with some light tropical fruit aromas. Flavors feel a bit muted on the palate and muddled. Mouthfeel is softer than I prefer. Lingering pith and citrus on the finish with a touch of honey-like sweetness to balance out.
