Can. Pitch black and oily with lacy tan head. Nose is hazelnut, chocolate, vanilla, maple syrup and cola. Flavor is sweet and nutty, cacao, vanilla, light roasted bitterness. A big hit, but not too sweet and thus quite drinkable. Enjoyable.

Stuffy, earthy and slightly roasty with some stingy nutty notes and old coffee. A bit unbalanced

Smell of chocolate, faint nuts. Black colour, small dark brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, pepper, coffee, spices. Chocolate in finish. Thick texture, soft carbon. Medium sweet, medium bitter.

(Can, 0.44l, from Alko, 20250228) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had burnt malts, dark chocolate, hazelnut and alcohols. Palate was full bodied and warming with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, vinous notes, alcohols and bitterness. Aftertaste had alcohols, hazelnut and bitterness. An unbalanced and boozy brew with good aroma.

440ml. Alko web. Opaque colour, brownish head and some lace. Roasted woody nose, very much barrel aged vibe. Full-bodied. Roasted, bold/robust, chocolaty, coffee and wood. Touch of hazelnut. Quite malty and warming roasty chocolate bomb. How about Bourbon version?

A pitch black beer, a head is medium, thick and brown. Aroma has chocolate, roastiness, some hazelnuts. Taste has strong chocolate, roastiness, some weird wooden mustyness in the end. Full bodied. That weird roughness is not nice.
