--Sample, thanks fonefan! -- Clear orange colour, small head. Caramelly, fruity nose. Mid sweet with light to medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Fruity and caramelly with white bread and mild floral notes. Low to medium bitterness.

Sample (thanks fonefan!). Honeyish golden colour, small white foamy head. Aroma is wooden, mild toffee and some bready tones to it. Flavour is sweet malts, toffee, bready and mild wooden tones as well. Quite dry palate. For Åben, quite a mediocre brew.

Tap at ÅBEN CPH. Light hazy amber, low offwhite head. Light caramel nose, light body, sugar, caramel sweetness, light fruity, berry candy notes too, dusty grains, quick finish. Made for the J-Øl crowd no doubt.

can aroma has notes of toasted malts, mild caramel, very very faint buttery or sour malty note. this time the sour note is almost entirely unnoticeable, could be that i am just imagining it. no.. there is a very very faint note sort of similar to apple juice. apart from that, decent vienna aroma. Flavor is malts, caramel, very faint fruity note - not a bad fruity note, decent mild bitterness. i've had way more interesting beers from åben, this one does have that been too long on the tap kind of feel to it, although it is much less bad than the one i tasted earlier today. it is, howver, a long way from the crazy good taste i have had in some of their other lagers.

Draft. A cloudy dark golden beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, and straw. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, and straw, leading to a bitter finish.
