Everyone loves a good farm tale these days. Urban farms. Ant farms. Biggest little farms. Orwell’s classic Animal Farm. The word alone – come on, say it: farm! – makes people happy. We cooked up this funky, untamed Finnish sahti to show we too are in the farm game. A classic Northern European farmhouse ale that goes heavy on the wild yeast and pale juniper berry and light on the hops. A courageous, fatalistic Baltic Sea ballbuster brewed for men with elaborate facial hair.

Fun find, surprising at such a huge, corporate place. Serve-your-own taps, must be 60 or 70. Good beer though doesn't taste much like the Sahtis in Finland. Classic name!

Oranjegeel bier met weinig schuim. Smaak is vrij zoet en fruitig met iets van dennen, wat sinaasappel, mango en wat perzik. Goed bier.

Can 33cl. @home poured into a teku glass. Opaque pale amber colour, fair frothy off-white head, half-way lasting, fair lacing. Aroma sweet malt, tangerine, orange, juniper. Fruity taste, medium sweet and light bitter, malty, orange, tangerine. peach, light juniper, touch of anis. Medium body, sticky texture, juicy mouthfeel, soft carbonation, fruity sweetbitter aftertaste, spicy notes (gingery), some alcohol, very nice.

Can at home, orange coloured beer, small head. Aroma is light, juniper, yeast, fruit, tropical fruit. Taste is the same, sweet, bitter, juniper, fruit. Easy to drink

0.33 l can from 'Het Biermeisje', canned in February 2024. Very hazy, orange with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, slightly herbal, gently fruity-floral aroma of juniper, orange and some peach. Gently sweet, malty, moderately bitter, quite fruity-floral and a bit herbal taste of orange, peach, mango, grapefruit and juniper, followed by a short, slightly bitter, moderately dry finish. Medium body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Nice style tick, but seriously, it tastes like an IPA with juniper, as a sahti it's simply a joke.
