Bottle, 7.5%. Sweet liquorice aroma. Black colour with a fairly stable light brown head. The flavour is very roasted and quite bitter with a distinct raw liquorice note and a pinch of salt, smoke, and tar in the finish. Reminds me a little of Limfjordsporter.

--Sample, thanks fonefan! -- Dark brown, small head. Evident aroma of licorice, chocolate and caramel. Mid sweet with medium to full body and soft mouthfeel. Mild smole, licorice, milk chocolate and toffee. Low bitterness.

Sample (thanks fonefan!). Black colour, small beigeish brown head. Aroma is nutty, some dried fruits, plum and mild herbal and cold coffee tones. Flavour is cold coffee, some slight sweet toffeeish tones with some roast and mild smoked tones.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours an opaque black with a creamy, beige head. Soft roast vanilla nose with a faint peaty touch. Rich body, initially sweet but quickly the bitter English licorices chimes in combined with the smoky malts. It all makes for a very solid macho beer - an Imperial Skibsøl of sorts. Well made. 170223
