Made with mineral water, locally sourced barley and Hallertau Hops, Hofmeister Ultra Low is best served chilled. There’s lots of sweet grain, fresh grassy hops and bready notes as well as plenty of body and a good crisp finish – so refreshing and drinkable.

0.33 l bottle from 'Drankgigant.nl', best before July 2022. Clear, pale golden with a thin, foamy, almost stable, white head. Slightly sweetish, a bit grassy-spicy aroma of grains and light straw. Gently sweet, hardly bitter, minimally grassy-spicy taste of grains and light straw, followed by a short, slightly bitter, gently dry finish. Thin body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, lively carbonation. Very decent for what it is, easily drinkable, refreshing and clean.

Bottle ordered from Noble Green Wines, Hampton. Aroma is sweet and malty with underlying pine. Light gold. Frothy white head. Light-medium bitter with an initial sour ciyrus edge that then develops doughy sweetness. Underlying soggy cardboard and soda. The flava peters out. Light bodied. Slick if thin. Soft carbonation. Dry somewhat astringent finish. A low alcohol beer that attempts to mimic a Helles but ultimately ends up weak and watery.
