From tap at Fierce Beer, Edinburgh. Big bourbon upfront, vanilla, oak, toffee, brown malts, caramel, raisin. Sweet flavour, lightly some alcohol in the finish. Medium to full body. Long lasting Bourbon aftertaste.

Can from BiervanEijk, Steenwijk. Plenty of bourbon with brown malts, caramel, toffee, some vanilla from the bourbon barrel. Moderate to medium sweet, low bitterness. Medium body, smooth mouthfeel, not boozy.

Can. Dark brown, very short lasting head. Taw cocoa, blackberries, vanilla, boozy bourbon, oak, earthy. Just medium sweet and bitter, very light sour. Just medium bodied, soft carbonation and a bit watery feel with boozy finish. Quite watery and boozy, not amazing.

Tap.Dark brown colour with small head.Aroma of vanilla and bourbon nice sweet warming taste hint of chocolate and barrel good sweet warming taste and smooth finish.

On keg at Fierce. Appearance - deep brown to black and opaque. Tan head. Nose - tonnes of vanilla, coconut and boozy wood. Don't get Wee Heavy background. Taste - wood and booze, raisin and caramel. Palate - medium bodied, boozy and then thin finish. Overall - nice.

Keg at Fierce Edinburgh. Pours clear red-brown with a thin beige head. Aromas of vanilla, coconut, wood. Taste is bourbon and malty toffee, more vanilla. Good dried fruit linger.

Can from Fierce brewery tap. It pours lightly hazy darkest brown to black with a quickly dissipating khaki head. The aroma is vanilla fudge, bourbon soaked oak, rocky road, crunchy, dried fruits, raisin, sultana, figgy pudding, toasted fruit cake and Werthers original. The taste is dry roasted malt, bitter - sweet, roasted malt, toasty, plenty of dark and dried fruits, raisin, sultana, toasted fruit cake, Eccles cake, figgy pudding, bourbon soaked oak, rocky road, warming booze, toffee, touch of spice and a touch of tannin with a warming, fruity finish. Fulsome body and average carbonation. Not quite as complex as the draft only single barrel, but very tasty nonetheless. Right up my street.

Panda. Big thanks to Cloin. Almost clear brown beer, small bubbly tan head. Smooth palate, quite light, a reasonable fine carbonation. Slightly tangy dark chocolate malts, a little milk chocolate and vanilla , possibly from the bourbon barrel, which is rich and ripe fruity. Nice..
