0.33 l bottle from 'Bierothek' (Hagen), best before July 2024. Clear, pale golden with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Slightly sweetish, gently fruity-floral, moderately grassy aroma of lemon peel, some fresh grass and a touch of grains. Gently sweet, slightly malty, moderately bitter, a bit grassy-spicy and a little fruity-floral taste of grains, some straw and traces of lemon peel, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly dry finish. Almost medium-bodied, gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Nice aroma, much more ordinary taste-wise. Not bad, but not as good the unfiltered version.

Bottle. Clear gold with a glorious and long-lasting white head. Aroma of grains, cereals, floral hops, straw and tiny hints of citrus. Taste of grains, straw, cracker and minerals. Moderate bitterness though rather bold for the style. Medium carbonation. Soft mouthfeel. It’s ok but I think it’s a tad bit too bitter for a Helles.
