Blik 33cl thuis. Redelijk zoet, banaan, Curaçaoschil, koriander, fruitig, heel licht romig, wheaty. Weizen met witbierneiging. (28-6-2025).

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is wheaty with citrus, curaçao peel, yeasty notes, hint of banana. Flavour is moderate sweet with a light bitterness. Body is medium. Drinkable, but more like a Witbier than a German Hefe.

Cloudy yellow colour, small white head. Light banana and clove in the nose. Light-bodied. Light banana, paper and clove. Very easy and watery. Can label is much more aggressive.

0.33 l can from 'Hoptimaal', best before August 2023. Hazy, straw yellow with a massive, foamy, quickly collapsing, white head. Sweetish, gently yeasty, quite spicy, moderately fruity-floral aroma of coriander, orange peel, some clove and a touch of banana. Gently sweet, moderately bitter, quite spicy, gently yeasty and moderately fruity-floral taste of lots of coriander, nutmeg, clove, orange peel, wheat and some banana, followed by a short, moderately bitter, slightly dry finish. Thin to medium body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. A German Weizen with coriander and curaçao orange peel? Or maybe just a Wit? Not totally convincing anyway.
