Named after The Evergreen State itself (Washington), this straw-coloured beer is a celebration of Yakima Valley hops, so delivers plenty of punchy citrus, pine resin and tropical fruit notes, culminating in a moreish, bitter, dry finish.

Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms (JDW), Bristol March 2024. Golden in colour, with a slight, white, head. A touch of citrus hop, biscuity malts, some tangerine sweetness and a suggestion of pine, leading to a dryish finish. Fine.

Half pint, cask ale, shared with Finn at Shakespeares Head. Wetherspoon Beer Festival, March 24. Clear, warm golden body under a filmy layer, clingy lacing. Moderate aromas of herbal hops and grainy malts. Malt-fruity flavours, impacts of citrus and cereal malts. A distant piney twist towards the finish. Decent. (London, 16.03.2024).

[Cask at the Back of Beyond (JDW), Reading.] A straw coloured pour with a ring of white head; yeasty aroma; dry in the mouth with a fruity yeast taste and a grainy body; then a gently building bitterness before a dry lip-smacking finish. Reminds me of a Belgian blonde.

Clear pale gold with a frothy white head and a soft citrus aroma. Zesty and fresh with a nice balance of citrus and pine hops with a cereal malt backbone, finishes very dry
