28/7/2023. Cask at the 33rd Ipswich Beer and Cider Festival. Pours dark mahogany brown with a small bubbly beige head. Aroma of coffee, chocolate, dark fruits, ash, almond, berries, boozy orange. Moderate sweetness and bitterness with a slight tart edge. Moderate body, slightly oily, soft carbonation. Roasty sourish finish. Nice aroma, less convinced on the sour notes.

1/3 pint, gravicask shared with Finn at GBBF Winter '23. Almost black in the glass, covering beige head, fair lacing. Inviting smell of grainy chocolate. Rounded taste profile with moments of black chocolate, cocoa, and a note of coffee. Roasted, mid-sweet chocolate malty end. Medium bodied. Decent porter. (Burton upon Trent 16.02.2023).
