Bottle, 75cl. A dark brown beer with a finger-thick beige head. The aroma is quite roasted on the nose, with alcohol, coffee, burnt malt notes and some dark chocolate. A touch of dried fruits, wood and booze, hints of chocolate cake. It’s full-bodied, warming and semi-sweet on the palate, some bitterness, and a soft carbonation. Roasted malts, booze, dark dried fruit, wood and vanilla hints, chocolate cake and a hint of licorice. The licorice is more present in the very end. Really nice chocolate and barrel impact in this one. A bottle will be a bit too much alone, but sharing it is nice. 221126

Delt med mange i hyggelig selskap på Vervet. Svart. Filmskum med litt farge. Lett whiskyaroma. Myk munnfølelse. Smaken sjokoladefondant. Tørr, lett bitter avslutning. Utmerket dessertøl.

750ml bottle kindly shared by Finn. Fawn-coloured head over a deep ruby black body, scattered lacing. Attractive aromas with moments of chocolate, dried fruits and berry skins. Comprehensive taste character of prunes, dark berries, ash, and dark chocolate, lactose backbone. Woody. Lingering, warming ending, mildly roasted. Decent slow sipper qualities. (After dinner gathering at Vervet, Tromsø 19.11.2022).
