This rye IPA has a sweet centre of caramel malts that will complement the natural caramelisation of any grilled, marinated meats. The aroma is bursting with tropical and stone fruit flavours from a dry-hop of Motueka and Ekuanot. Pairs well with all meats and the hop notes and slightly drying finish will particularly accentuate spice.

Half pint from the keg at the tap house. Pours a murky light brown with a white head. Aromas and tastes of caramel, grapefruit, hints of spice & smoked malt. Medium body. Dry light bitter finish. Enjoyable

Half-pint as Pitmaster Rye IPA, BBQ 4.8 % abv, draught at Powder Monkey Taproom. Shared with Finn. A fair off-white head over a cloudy orange coloured body, clingy lacing. Inviting bread-fruity aromas, mid-dry. Fine balanced flavours of bread, biscuit and mid-dry citrus. Malt-fruity tail. Medium bodied. Pretty decent. (Gosport 19.10.2022).

Som «BBQ Pitmaster Rye IPA 4,8%». Delt med Rune. Gylden. Uklar. Høyt kremaktig skum som daler sakte og etterlater pen lacing. Lett plommearoma. Smaken litt rug. Mest tørket frukt. Balansert. Tørr bitter avslutning.

Can ordered from Twisted Crow, Basingstoke. Aroma has that distinctive rye smell with a touch if fruit and basement. Cloudy orange-btown. Fluffy foamy white head. Medium-heavy bitter. A big dose of earthy rye plus resin. A slight citrus tang. Spice (although that would be the rye). Medium bodied. Slick. Average prickly carbonation. Long dry slightly astringent finish. No complaints here in that the went all in with the rye. Perhaps rough and ready but no skimping. I wonder how it would go with some smokey BBQ?
