Cask-conditioned at the Rook & Gaskill, York 19/9/2024. Near black in colour, with a tight, beige, head. Plenty of creaminess and sweet milk chocolate, before some raw ethanol that was pure Baileys. Finish was toasty. A beer that captured both the pros and cons of Baileys Irish Cream.

Half-pint, cask at Wellington. Shared with Finn. Covering beige head, clingy lacing, black in the glass. Quite inviting smell of creamy chocolate malts, vanilla chocolate flavours, moments of nuts and earth. Sweet, slightly roasted, chocolate malty end. Okay, but far too sweet in the long run. (Birmingham 16.10.2022).

Opaque black with a beige head. Appearance - opaque black with a beige head. Nose - vanilla cream. Burnt malts. Taste - burnt malts and vanilla. Sweet custard notes. Palate - creamy at first then thin and too much booze. Overall - quite sweet and lacking structure.

Bottle. Beer Central, Sheffield. Clear, deep chestnut brown pour sits nearly black in the glass. Fine and tight, glossy beige head. Looks well. Nose has vanilla. Easter egg chocolate. Milky liqueur. Some roast malt and coffee. Taste has demerara sweetness with a decent amount of roast malt and coffee bitterness. Smooth and easy drinking with fine carbonation. Moderate bitterness to finish.
