Named after Ponsanooths number one tourist attraction (narrowly pipping our beer cafe), Kennell Vale, where many moons ago materials were extracted to make explosives for the mining industry. The idyllic valley inspired this easy-going, hoppy ale with some delicate, subtle spice flavours.

500ml bottle paper wrapped. Drank at home after taking the Christmas decorations down, it's nearly 18:00 on 6th January 2026. Poured into a Batemans straight sided pint sleeve, it's a slightly hazed off golden body, wispy white head (beer out of date by 2 months). Decent enough Pale Ale, hoppy and nicely balanced, without trying to be clever.

500ml bottle trapped in paper, bought at the shop at the National Brewery Centre. Shared with Finn. Clear amber body, stable off-white head, dotted spots on the glass. Moderate aromas of caramel malts and earth. Slightly grain-fruity flavours supported by caramel malts. Ends dry, sweet and bitter. Decent British bitter. (Hotel room, Nottingham 15.10.2022).

Delt med Rune på rom 301, Premier Inn Nottingham Arena. Gylden. Klar. Middels høyt luftig skum. Daler sakte & etterlater pen lacing. Karamellaroma. Smaken som aromen. God - men uvariert. Forsiktig tørr bitter avslutning.
