12/10/2023. Cask at Nottingham Robin Hood Beer & Cider Festival 2023. Pours almost black with a small creamy beige head. Aroma is sweet, malty, milk chocolate, coffee, dark fruits, hint of coconut. Medium sweetness, light to moderate bitterness. Moderate body, light creamy texture, very soft carbonation. Enjoyable.

Gravicask at The 14th Robin Hood Beer and Cider Festival, Nano Bar. Shared with Finn on the first day of the festival. Naked at the top, scattered lacing and jet black in body appearance. Nutty chocolate smell, lightly roasted, promising. Quite fine blended taste of chocolate, earth, nuts, and liquorice. Drying close, smoothly roasted. Nice. (Nottingham 12.10.2022).

Cask (gravity) at Smithfield, Derby. Pours jet black with minimal beige head. Aroma has roast malts and dark fruits. In the mouth, liquorice is the first flavour to hit the taste buds, closely followed by roasted malts and coffee grounds. Later on there are some hints of chocolate plus ash and tar. Finish is bitter and slightly fruity. This is a top notch stout !
