Opaque colour, medium-sized beige head. Toasted dark bready aroma with some cocoa. Medium-bodied. Roasted with chocolate and cocoa, hints of vanilla. Can't trace much of star anise. Robust, feels stronger than 6.6%. Good stuff. Balanced.

Was es mit den cocoa nibs und Vanilla beans auf sich hat, weiß ich nicht. Solche Gewürze kenne ich nicht. Aber dass ein Bier tolle Aromen nach Kakao und Vanille hat, merke ich doch. Dazu wunderbar komponierte Schokotöne und ein leicht spritzigen Abgang. Ein wahrlich fantastisches Getränk.

Bottle at home picked up from Honest brew. An opaque black brown coloured pour with a lasting dark tan head. Aroma is big milky chocolate, coa nibs, hazelnut, light berries, light mint choc chip. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, chocolate, light tang, hazelnut, jammy fruit, dusty chocolate. Palate is semi sweet, rounded, moderate carbonation,

Bottle. Black pour. Aroma of creamy chocolate, anise, earthy vanilla, licorice, coffee and caramelised malt. Taste has smooth earthy vanilla, chocolate, soft anise, licorice, chocolate malt, a little coconut and caramel. Really smooth mouthfeel. Great flavorful rich porter.
