Four Grain Best Bitter

Bitter Moon is our four grain English-style best bitter brewed with a base of English pale, German pilsner, Vienna and dark crystal malts. In addition to this barley base, we used flaked rye, malted wheat and caramelized oats. Bitter Moon was hopped exclusively with East Kent Goldings and open-fermented with our house pub yeast.

Aromas are malt, toffee, toast. Flavors are similar to nose, slightly more sweet than bitter with modest carbonation. Reminds me of canned bitter in the UK. Pretty good.

16 oz can from Tavour. Dark amber poor covered with a fine off-white head. Multi aroma, notes of caramel, brown bread. Taste starts sweet then quickly turns over to a nice mild bitterness. Malty flavors are all around. Seems a little thin, but I bet it would be excellent on cask.
