(Keg at Sherlock’s Monastery St. Pub, Uppsala, 20140923) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had chocolate and burnt malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, chocolate, sweetness, coffee and bitterness. Aftertaste was quite watery and had burnt malts and bitterness. A decent stout. Better finish would have made this brew better.

World Cup Beer. Black with a lasting off-white head. Good roasted malt aroma with licorice and chocolate dominating, along with a hint of hops. Sweetish roasted flavour with licorice and hard roasted, slightly ashy notes.

Bottle @ Belarus Takes over the World Cup, 2014. Shared with Christian. Pours black with a creamy beige head and lacings. Chocolate cake, cookies, ashes and dried fruit. Smooth and dry.

330ml bottle from Systembolaget Storheden. Decent, bubbly, fawn-coloured, lacing-head to a near-black coloured body. Sweet aroma of chocolate. Grainy chocolate flavours, mildly roasted. Malt-fruity ending, rather dry. Medium bodied. Easy going stout (shared with djoeye, hotel room, Luleå 25.05.2014).

Draught at Stars N Stripes, Uddevalla. Served a bit too cold. Pours dark brown, brown head, some lacings. Aroma is roasted malt, coffee, almond, some dried fruit. Taste is somewhat bland, light coffee, chocolate, malt and hops. Medium bitter and body, soft carbo. Works.

Keg at the Bishops Arms, Jarntorget, Goteborg, 23/03/14. Light black with a moderatly sized swirl that veers edgeward. Nose is light roast, toffee, dark malts, berry fruit, faint hoppy backdraft. Taste comprises tangy berry fruit, liqourice, light roast, touch of cocoa, jammy berry fruit, light mineral notes, faint hoppage. Meium bodied, moderate carbonation, semi drying close. Ok stout, ticks the style boxes.

Tap at the Bishops Arms, Jarntorget, Gothenburg. Poured a dark mahogany with a frothy off white head. The aroma is roasted malt liqourice. The flavour is medium bitter with a malt peat earthy palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Not the worst stout I’ve ever ever had.

Dark brown, almost black color. Nice head at first, thinner head stays for some time. Aroma is not very intensive. Hints of roasted malts and very subtle alcohol. Taste: espresso, roasted malts, in the end quick hints of bitterness that dissapear quickly. There is also noticable iron in the background, once the bitternes starts to dissapear. Overall: not really good or bad. You can find a lot better beer, but you can find also a lot worse.
