This is a rich, sumptuous porter packed full of flavours. Chocolate is layered throughout the beer with special Venezuelan cacao nibs, accentuating the caramel and biscuit notes from the malts. Our marshmallowy mouthfeel is creamy with a hint of vanilla, guaranteed to put a smile on your face.

440ml can. Poured a clear dark brown colour with a thin off-white head. The aroma is roasted malt, sugary marshmallow. The flavour is over moderate sweet, with a smooth, somewhat rich, light roasty, saccharine marshmallow, light dry liquorice bitter palate. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation. Nice, but perhaps a little too sweet.

Can from the brewery online shop. Pours near black with a thin beige head. Aromas of cocoa, vanilla, caramel biscuit. Taste is more of the same. Not as sweet as I feared.

200ml draught at Tromsø Mikrobryggeri. Filmy off-white head over a deep black body, clingy lacing. Inviting on the nose with caramel malts, lightly roasted. Fine balanced cocoa-caramel flavours, hints of nuts to it. Mid-sweet malt-driven end, carefully roasted. Smooth on the swallow. Nice. Can from Asda Supermarket, Manchester. Extremely dark with a small head. Lots of chocolate and sugars create a marshmallow experience in both aroma and taste

Can. Asdas. 4 for 3 job. They’ve upped their game recently, not before time. Clear very deep cola brown. Slim beige foam. Bit of burnt caramel up front. Cooking chocolate. Taste has some caramel sweetness although it’s mostly ashy earthy burnt bitterness. Sticky on the palate. Dirty ashy bitter finish. Hard work.
