Brown 500ml bottle best before 17 June 2012, poured into a UK pint sleeve Sep 2011. Looked fine at first: bright amber body with a full white crown on top, sadly the crown faded away to leave a thin wisp and collar very quickly. I might be being unkind, but to me this was just a sweet gingery tasting liquid that I didn’t enjoy one bit. I knew what I was buying, but I just expected a bit more effort in the brewing, not an unbalanced mess of alcohol, sugar and root ginger.

500ml Bottle - Amber with lively carbonation. Ginger and spicy malt feature in the aroma. Spicy and warming taste with notes of ginger dominating, as well as some faint dried fruit hints. Nice and something of a guilty pleasure for me. The finish lingers.

Bottle from Morrisons. Clear golden colour, thin white head. Nose is sweet ginger, shandy, vegetables. Flavour is ginger, soapy, very sweet lemonade. Sweet sugary and ginger finish. Sugary mess. Drain pour.

500ml bottle at 4.2%. Pours dark gold with a thin head. Aroma is lemon washing up liquid and ginger. Taste is soapy ginger to start. Hot ginger finish. Going for the over ice market, but not a sugary alcopop like most.
