A reddish brown beer with a quite weak and blond head. The nose has caramell, fresh wood, hint of citrusfruits. Taste is caramel malty with some nuts, wood., not too sweet, fresh enough. Almost medium bodied, medium carbonation. Bitter like beer, fresh enough and balanced. Clearly better than the Steam Beer from the same series.

Amber with a small white head. Grainy malt aroma with quite a bit of DMS. Sweetish malty flavour with a fruity note. May have a little diacetyl, but none of the over-powering caramel sweetness that usually typifies Irish Red. Don’t know if that’s a good thing or a bad thing? Quite anonymous and not particularly pleasing beer, to my taste
