Our infamous Black Tuesday is an Imperial Stout aged in Bourbon barrels for over a year. Rich caramel, toasted malt, vanilla, burnt wood, anise are just a few of the many flavors of this rich, decadent imperial stout.

Black Tuesday, our barrel aged stout, created quite a stir at our humble brewery amassing an unexpected response from craft beer lovers around the nation. It didn't come as a huge surprise that people were in love with our deep, dark, rich and nearly 20% abv beer that ages in bourbon barrels for well over a year, but the instantaneous success of the beer was definitely a shock. Pitch black color. Barrel character, still lots of bourbon, oak, dark chocolate, bakers chocolate, truffles, burnt raisins. Alcohol so well hidden for the style. This is in amazing. Shape

Thanks to Beer Savant for sharing a bottle during his 50th birthday bash. Pours inky black with a medium light brown head that diminishes steadily to an outer ring. Aroma of bourbon, coffee and dark fruit. Rich and velvety body with flavors of oaky bourbon, dark chocolate, raisins and vanilla. The finish is sweet molasses and malt and leaves a lingering chocolate cherry liqueur aftertaste. Very good all around.
