Can from BiervanEijk, Steenwijk. Aroma is roasted malt with grassy dankish hop, chocolate, fruity notes, light pine, citrus, grass. Flavour is nicely bitter with a light sweetness. Medium body. Nice bitterness and roast, hops are dank rather than piney.

Can at home, black beer, small to medium head. Aroma is roast, malt, coffee, citrus, raisins, fruit. Taste is sweet raisins, bitter, roasted coffee, citrus, bitter, grapefruit, resinous bitter, nice one.

Dark brown color with thick beige head. Aroma of coffee, cocoa, roasted malts, citrus hops. Taste is unfortunately very alcoholic, dark malt, chocolate, cocoa, moderate citrus hops in finish. More American stout than BIPA, still enjoyable.

Can at home, 20th January 24. Pours cocoa, toasted malts, chocolate. Taste is bitter chocolate, roasted malts, cocoa, vanilla, pine and citrus, bitter hit at the close. Good BIPA.

Can. Black, large and lasting creamy beige head. Nice fruity nose, tropical fruits with roasted back and hints of chocolate. Medium bitterness, grassy and a bit roasted. Gentle sweetness in teh finish. roasted afteratste. Medium body. Nice black IPA with hints of alcohol.

Taster at Mel's. Pours black, with a big, foamy, tan head. The aroma is cappuccino, vanilla, pecan, rose, and leather. Almost dry, with a pretty aggressive bitterness. Medium to heavy body, syrupy, and sticky. Beautiful, but more of a hoppy, coffee stout.

Pechschwarze Farbe mit beiger Schaumkrone. Prägnant malzig fruchtiger, hopfiger Geruch. Geschmacklich malzig, hopfig, fruchtig nach dunklen Beeren, leicht säuerlich. Hohe Süße mit hoher Bitterkeit, voller Körper mit spürbarer Kohlensäure.

Am CBF 2023 hatte auch Bevog einen stand und stellte neue Tiere vor. Auch diese Dose hatten im neuen Design leider keinen erklärenden Text zu den Tieren mehr, sondern einen obercoolen Werbetext. Dieses Bier ist dem bekannten Berggorilla (Gorilla beringei beringei) 🦍gewidmet, der bekanntermaßen sehr unter der Zerstörung seines Lebensraums als auch Bejagung leidet. Das Bier ist als Black Double IPA ein Verschnitt aus einer Porterbasis, die aber so gehopft wurde, dass es ein Double IPA aufgesetzt bekam. Doch bei Bevog kriegt man es tatsächlich hin, dass dieses Experiment nicht überladen wirkt sondern m EInstig tolle schokoladige Malznoten herrschen welche dann immer mehr von der Hopfenbombe abgelöst werden. Der Übergang zwischen den Aromen ist toll samtig und macht es wirklich interessant und zu einer Freude zu trinken.
