Brazenly bitter. Dashingly dry-hopped. Raja is an audacious addition to our lengthy lineage of intrepid IPA’s. Hops for all! All for hops!

Pours slightly hazy pale golden color with white head. Grapefruit rind, grass, and pine aromas with a hint of malt. Moderately bitter grapefruit flavor with some pine and sweet maltiness. Medium to full body with moderate carbonation.

Dark orange, with a slight haze and white foam, sticky and leaving some rudimentary lacings. Aroma has some herbal hops, freshly cut grass - that hs started to ferment. Something seems to be off with the aroma, I wonder about the temperatures this can has gone through before arriving in Japan. It’s a can but feels somewhat oxidised. Tste is still with resiny and aggressive herbal grassy hops, bitterness is just super strong as well. Dries up my mouth totally and the dry and aggressively bitter aftertaste just keeps lingering and lingering. As it is in my glass, it does not feel very balanced actually, drinks bitter and a bit messy. Would like to have this also in Colorado.

Draft: Pineapple and grapefruit aroma. Cloudy golden, thin head, good lacing. Pineapple, lemongrass, apricot. Medium body, easy carbonation. I’m not an Avery fan, but they are winning me over with their IPAs. This was delicious.

Refrigerated 12 oz. can bottled December 10, 2015 poured into a snifter. Hazy bright golden with big white head. Aroma is nice herbal hops, medium body, medium carbonation, and some lacing. Taste is juicy grapefruit and juicy apricot. Back to back with fresh two-hearted ale and I prefer this by a good amount. This is a great beer and my new go to hoppy beer.

burk hos BlindaTigern . Doftar lite tungt dovt av päron å äpple. Lite i Peters stil. Smakar??? Jävlar jävlar vad mycket skumbanan . Skumt? Ha ha. Medelfyllig inte mer. Knappt medelfyllig Dipa. Mer ipa i munnen. God ren inte alls som doften . Kul annorlunda Skumbanan öl

Can from Tanakaya. Drank straight from the can. Mild tropical fruit notes: mango and pineapple with lots of grapefruit juiciness. Well-balanced but with big sweet malt and bitter hop flavors. Some pine and resin comes out on the palate as well. Pretty big bitter finish. Overall a big bold Semi-double IPA. --- Beer merged from original tick of Raja Double IPA on 06 Jan 2016 at 19:48 - Score: 7. Original review text: Not a big Avery fan, but I'm diggin this...lots of citrus but well-balanced

Medium-full bodied with a sweet maltiness and big juicy sweet fruity hops luscious citrus and tropical fruits. This is my kind of IPA. Great.

Can at Haymarket. Yellow with a white head. Fresh aroma and taste of pineapple, mango, grass, citrus and light malt. Kind of soft and refreshing. A pleasant one.

Masha and the Bear, Brooklyn tap: pours orange golden with a white head. Aroma is tropical fruit... Lots of it. Maybe papaya and pineapple or something. Taste is lightly bitter and veryfruity. Not too sweet but still most juicy. Pretty nice fruit bomb.
