Bière blonde forte avec des notes de pomme et de calvados, son amertume franche se marie parfaitement avec le moelleux et la puissance de l'acool.

24/VIII/25 - 33cl bottle @ post kayak drinks, La Phine Frite (Anseremme), BB: 22/X/27, T3 10:21 (2025-825) Thanks to Akke for sharing the beers!

Clear light amber beer, big solid creamy off-white head, stable, adhesive, leaving some lacing in the glass. Aroma: bubble gum, some strawberry jam, candy, artificial flavourings. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: more bubble gum up front, slightly sweet, ripe to overripe fruits, a bitter touch, very artificial. Aftertaste: more bubble gum, candy flavourings, not sweet though, a bitter touch, banana peel, a bit metallic, ok.

Helder donkergeel bier met mooi stevig schuim. Smaak is bitterzoet en licht fruitig met iets van appel, wat abrikoos en peer. Heel goed.

Huge, yellowish/orangey head, stable, over deep cognac-coloured beer, lively carbonated with fine bubbles and textbook lace. Sweet, alcohol, branches, molasses, apples and - indeed - Calvados. Bit of chalk. Sweet-bitterish, lots of booze, watercolour paint. Raw, almost bitter alcohol in the finish. Sweet ripe pears, dried apricot, apricotbrandy. Almost astringent, very oozy, oily. Good carbonation, fiery alcoholheat. It's raw. But I'm still pleasantly surprised. Compared with the muck des Fagnes had us accustomed to, this is heaven. Txs to Stef!

33cl bottle from Cora in Brussels.
F: medium, egg-white, average retention.
C: deep gold, clear.
A: malty, apples, bit banana, caramel, spicy, orange touch.
T: full malty base, apples, spicy, toast, orange peels, bit boozy, medium carbonation, decent bitterness, bit artificial all together yet for me ok, enjoyed.
