The last expression of 2019. This Thorn was bottle conditioned 33 months from pressing. It is distinct, delightful, smiling in the joy of maturation. What is remarkable is how similar it is to the original: it retains a gorgeous honey-melon and elderflower aroma with huge, juicy, yellow acidity that’s capped off by the most stellar of pear tannins. Yet it has undoubtedly journeyed further as it has matured and is now an exquisite drink. Fewer than 300 bottles were made and we half thought to keep them all for ourselves!

7/8/2024. Bottle shared by danlo, cheers Ed! Pours clear copper gold with a small bubbly white head. Aroma is sweet pear, lightly woody, mucky, fruity, elderflower. Quite sweet with moderate bitterness and light tartness. Medium body, oily, average carbonation. Dry citric finish. Good.

750ml bottle from Ross on Wye for #rgpm. Deep golden colour, short-lived foamy white head and aroma of pear, flesh, fruit. Taste is tart sour, zesty, lemon-lime, elderflower with some fleshy pear notes, drying acidity and tannin. Medium bodied, light carbonation, zingy citric acidic finish. Very drinkable.
