Herrlich dunkles, fast schwarzes Bier – selbst der Schaum hat eine dunkel-cremige Farbe.
Gebraut haben wir es für den Clan McEL, der die irische, schottische und fränkische Kultur zusammenführt.
Beim Clanbier handelt es sich um eine milde-süffige Brauspezialität mit dezenten Kaffee- und Röstmalzaromen und eher wenig Kohlensäure.
Wir empfehlen es aus einem möglichst “bauchigem” Glas zu trinken, weil sich so das Geschmacksprofil noch besser entfalten kann.

Dunkelbraune bis schwarze Farbe; cremige und stabile Schaumkrone. Viel dunkles Malz, auch etwas Röstmalz, Bitterschokolade, Espresso, schlanker Körper, trocken. Solides Stout.

Very dark brown beer with a small beige head. Aroma of caramelized dark malt, molasse, liquorice. Taste of mild dry roasted malt, caramel, liquorice. Easy to drink.

Bottled (from KCM Turku Kupittaa). Ambery brown colour with a mediumsized off-white foamy head. Aroma is roasted, some chocolaty and mild spicy tones with some sweet caramel. Flavour is toasted, some chocolaty and mild spicy tones with some roast as well. Smooth brew.

Bottle, danke an den Bochumer Familienclan. Black, fluffy, lacing tanned foam. Light grassy hop notes on mellow licorice and toasted bread. Chewy dry, pleasant roast malt, fruity coffee, light acid, good hop counterpoint. Very drinkable.

Fläschla (brewed by Kauzen Ochsenfurt): Deep amber coloured with a ruby sheen, small but stable off-white foamy layer, moderate dryish roasty and dark-malty nose, fruity traces detectable, mild bitter-malty background; mild to moderate bitter flavour with a mild sweetness, light bodied and soft; slightly lingering bitter-sweet toasty-fruity finish. Not bad, but is it a Stout or a Schwarzbier…
