In the days before lager, Pale Ale was the original reassuringly expensive tipple. Drinking it set you apart from the Bitter crowd. Our Pale Ale is more than special. English Goldings, American Cascade & Cluster hops provide the bitterness, whilst our unique dry hopping technique with bucketfuls of Cascade & Willamette hops gives it a tantalising aroma.

Bottle @ Café Buitenlust, Oirschot. And what a bottle it is. Looks great, classy and delicious. Colour is fine, quite clear. Smell is a bit hoppy, just like the taste. Not too heavy on the alcohol. Easily drinkable, but definitly not boring or dull.

Bottle at a tasting. Thanks Oren. Clear golden with a white head. Floral and citric aroma of hops. Hoppy flavor with some citrus, earthy notes and some malt sweetness. Medium-bodied. Nice.

Tap at London Brewers Showcase. Pours clear gold with a foamy, white head. Butter and bread aroma. Balanced flavor with bready malts, light fruitiness and faint British bitter character. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Finishes fairly sweet with mild, lingering hops.

(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, golden colour with a medium-sized, slightly off-white foamy head. Slightly yeasty malty aroma with fruity (citrus, pine apples) hops. Sweet and slightly bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a spritzy carbonation. Pale and cara-malty taste with fruity and slightly floral hops flavours; moderately dry sweet-bitter finish with a well-accented fruity hops character. 12.III.10

Golden with a nice white head. Very grassy aroma, herbal, and light citrus, with some noticeable malts. Flavor is fruity and toasted malts. Light grass, and citrus. Finish has a nice bitterness to it. Smooth bodied. Scarily easy to drink. Could get into trouble with this one.

Bottle (@ Chez Bruce, Wandsworth): Deep golden, nearly no head, lazy carbonation; solid hoppy nose with distinctive malty and fruity traces underneath; dry bitter-sweet flavour, light bodied; juicy-malty finish, but big hoppy aftertaste. Nice, nice.........
