Ferment Extra Special Bitter embodies the quintessential English Ale. Almost paradoxically complex and full of rich flavors and aromas while sporting a relatively modest alcohol content and a clean, dry finish perfect for washing down a wide range of foods. Built upon the balance of minerals found in London’s prized brewing water, malts from England and Belgium provide a robust backbone balanced by a selection of five different hop varieties. Ferment ESB is designed to boldly stand up to and compliment rich braised meats, savory pies and stews, charcuterie, and just about anything hot off the grill.

500mL bottle, pours a clear darkish amber with a small beige head. Aroma has a pretty wonderfully English bready malt character, along with a hint of dry caramel, and toasted nuts. Flavour is wonderfully malt-forward, with a sort of uniquely spicy bready malt character dominating, with a touch of dry toasted caramel, and toasted nuts. Lots of great English bready malt on the finish. What an excellent ESB.
