Schramm’s Heritage Raspberry is a cousin to our standard Raspberry melomel, made exclusively with Heritage raspberries, the same variety used in Schramm’s The Heart of Darkness. Grown and loved by the Schramm family for generations, we were able to find a high-quality commercial source for these berries that took us back to picking them off the bushes in Grandpa Schramm’s backyard. We think this jammy, bright and extremely flavorful mead would make him proud.

Sweetest tasting 2.0. Shout out to svartvit for sharing this treasure. Bottle. Ruby red with no head. Massive sweet raspberries, big juicy overripe raspberries, whole raspberries, red currant, a warm blanket of fruit and sweetness, even the fluffy character of soft raspberry skin is in here. You can taste every character of the fruit in detail. From rich sweet juiciness, to the dry skin, to the tartness and bitterness of the fruitstones. It’s all there in high definition slow motion. Lucious deep sweet honey boost. Massive sweet, unfiltered raspberry tartness and light almond and wood bitter. Full body and no carbonation. Massive. Raspberries in a spectacular close up.

9 3 9 5 18 Bottle shared at the mead tasting. Dark red with no head. Aroma of rich sweet raspberry, jam and floral honey. Flavour is heavy sweet. Full bodied with very soft carbonation.

Bottle sampled at The Sweetest tasting II. Deep clear ruby with no head. Deep smell of raspberries, light bees, deep honey taste, tart raspberries, light dust and alcohol, dark cherries. Very sweet, just medium sour and very light bitter. Full, thick and sugary body with no carbonation. Really good.

Bottle thanks to Brian. Pours a dark ruby with no head. The aroma is strong rasberry, oak, honey, booze. Slick body, strong raspberry, oak, nice sweetness, dry finish, enjoyed this.

Batch 1 and batch 2 bottles pours out sexy purple red no head. Nose is nice sweet jammy berries some seed notes. Taste is more of the nice sweet jam berries seed acid very nice.
