В целом пиво получилось достаточно легким и питким для Double IPA - однако будьте осторожны, напиток содержит достаточно много алкоголя!

Deep amber brew. Foggy. Tall well-lacing off-white head. Fruity aroma. Strawberries. Currant. Sourish. Light to medium body. The taste delivers lots of forest berries. Nice. Dryish. Light bitterness. It might have not smelt that attractive. Still it looked and tasted very nice.

On tap at Vrteška 2016, Belgrade. Pours deep orange with medium white head. Some citrus notes, malty, herbs, mustard?, unpleasant bitter finish. Medium bodied. General conclusion was something went very wrong here, candidate for re-rate.

50cl bottle from Kaubamaja, Tallinn. Pours almost clear amber with a decent, off-white head. Fruity and hoppy aroma with citrus, notes of pine, caramel and hints of herbs. Medium sweet with medium flavour intensity and a rather balanced bitterness. Surprisingly easy to drink and certainly enjoyable. Nice one!

Fruit IPA (with grapefruit) from this Russian craft brewer, thanks Stefan for sharing. Thick and frothy, tightly lacing, egg-white, dense head, misty coppery amber colour. Aroma of moldy grapefruit, old orange juice, overripe peach, lychee, withering flowers, rainwater, biscuit, redcurrant, honey, soggy sandwiches, mango, wet cardboard. Fruity, estery onset, lots of peach and lychee with a hint of cherry tomato and green olive, bit minerally, caramelly and biscuity malt sweetness acquiring a softly toasted bitterish edge, pairing well with an aromatic hop finish, orangey and floral, a tad piney and only superficially bittering; honeyish sweetness and a genuinely juicy citrus flavor keep lingering afterwards. These new fruit IPAs can be very rewarding if carried out well, but in this case the grapefruit juice seems to outspoken, overwhelming the hop character a bit; there is something ’off’ in the nose as well (rotting fruit), likely a result of the actual fruit that was added. Interesting, but could have been executed better.

Good dense, light yellowish head; hazy amber-ochre beer. Citrus, fresh, also cat’s pee, caramel, fruitjuice (difficult to guess which!), berries. Bitter from resiny hops and a jumble of fruitsensations. The bitterness, however, sits a bit uneasy on the acidity of the fruit. As much clashing as blending. I get the mango they suggest, but it remains a suggestion only. Quite slick, resiny, fruit-filled. Excellent try anyway. More power to these Russian craft pioneers!
