A blend of six carefully selected malts combine to give you a strong ale with twice the flavour, twice the body and twice the depth of colour of your average stout.

Bottle, bb 14.10.2016 (shared by fatphil, thanks). Pours dark brown-black with beige head. Aroma is intense, roast, dark chocolate, malt, coffee. Flavor is sweet and bitter, roast, malt, bit ashy. Carbonation is bit high. Feels watery. Overall: ok.

Cask at Little Chalfont beer shop, Little Chalfont, Bucks. A black coloured pour with no head whatsoever. Roasty, dark fruit aroma. Tastes slightly roasty, dark fruit, slightly sweet and boozy. Not bad but could do with more complexity.

Cask at the St Albans beer festival 2013. Dark opaque black colour head. No head. Aroma is berry yeast esters with some toffee and vanilla. Flavour is tart raspberry, roast follows. Palate is light for a stout. Tart finish. Maybe an unintentional sour.
