Can from Bierwinkel Hop, Amersfoort. Sweet with plenty of lactose upfront. Loads of beanie coffee, coffee grounds, chocolate, caramel. Too sweet for my enjoyment, very lactic.

Can 44 cl. Pours a cloudy black with a brownish hue and a tny, rough and dissipating beige head. Distinct coffee aroma. Rich, sweet - cloyingly sweet - coffee, chocolate roast with some warming booze in the finish. Low in carbonation, absent bitterness. Simply too sweet. 030623

Cask at the Alex, Derby, 11/02/22. Black with a good sized tan cap. Nose is rich fruit cake, spice, chocolate, sticky sugars, toffee. Taste carries an immediate boost, liquorice, dates, figs, chocolate, sticky treacle toffee, coffee. Full bodied, oily feel with a warming boost. Not bad for a high boost cask stout ... a touch sweet and hot bit sips fine.

0.44 l can shared with Višnja 666. Huge thanks for sharing and thanks to the boys for bringing it. Roasted malts, roasted freshly ground coffee. Blackberry, strawberry, black pepper. Alcohol. Chilli pepper, spice. Nougat. Smooth, slick, oily. Sweet. Spicy cocoa drink. Slightly tart. Quite drinkable. Sweet finish. Gentle.

A oily black brown coloured pour oily, halo tan head. Aroma is big meaty roast, liquorice, salty. Flavour is medium sweet maple, sticky brown sugars, mellow roast, brandy snap sugars, coconut. Ok. Palate is dried fruits. Super sweet.

Cask: Poured a dark black brown with a off white head. Aroma is chocolate, boozy, rich malty. Taste is boozy, chocolate, alcohol, roasted malts.
