In the early days of Struise, Pannepot had a few different versions. Pannepot (regular) / pannepeut (slightly less rosted malts) , Pannepot Reserva (aged on wine barrels), and pannepot Grand Reserva (aged on wine + calvados barrels) . Other barrel types ( such as Port) were released under the 'Pannepot Special Reserva' brand.
Over time, things have gotten a bit less clear, and now special versions have also been released as Pannepot Reserva, whilst some red wine barrel aged versions have been released under 'Pannepot Special Reserva' .
We - The Belgian Admins of Brewver - have decided to keep this entry only for the Wine BA versions of Pannepot. Either marketed as Reserva or Special reserva (essentially the same beer, different batch). If you happen to know the specific barrel (which was sometimes stated, but not always) you can rate that as a batch here. For other versions ( Bourbon BA, for instance) there's another entry.

Soft, subtle darkness. Fairly different from the earlier one, but I'm not good at pinpointing why. Tastes newer but also less complex.

Bottled 2010. Reddish brown dark pour. Small but substantive head. Nose is raspberry and some yeast and plums. Taste is same but some roasty malts and candy sugars. This is a great beer but I?m not quite sure why its so hyped. Its good- great even- but I don?t know.

Smooth sweet malty with a plethora of dark dried fruit, spice, red wine soaked wooden accents in play, caramel, brown sugar, medium body, spiced and red wine edged lingering warning malty close. Gorgeous.

2014 vintage from Kini, evfordulo, lanykeres, ilyesmi. Pours deep brown, almost black, with a red hue and a beige head. Nose is sweet and tart, showing notes of grapes, chocolate, wood, booze. Taste is sweet fruity, chocolate-y and boozy, slightly acidic and tart grapes, a touch of wood. Closes with long, slightly tart and more sweet finish, has medium body and average to high carbonation.

Dark brown pour, big frothy brown head. Intense aromas of raisins, ripe dark fruit. Fruit cake, and red wine. Flavors are very fruity, and quite yeasty. Lots of plums, raisins, and quite a thick red wine finish, a touch of funk in the finish, this is aeging well, and adoptiong a touch of welcome funk, nice stuff!
